June 19, 2007

EDEN'S CURSE, the new hard rock band featuring vocalist Michael Eden, keyboardist Ferdy Doernberg (AXEL RUDI PELL, ULI JON ROTH, ROUGH SILK),drummer Pete Newdeck (STEVE GRIMMETT BAND, PAUL DIANNO'S KILLERS, THE SHOCK),guitarist Thorsten Koehne (CODE OF PERFECTION, DEMON DRIVE) and bassist/songwriter Paul Logue (CRY HAVOC),has parted ways with MTM Music and has inked a new European deal with Germany's AFM Records.

AFM's A&R Manager Markus Wosgien states: "AFM Records is proud to announce the signing of EDEN'S CURSE, who have created a brilliant melodic metal album. This record is full of hymns that just blew us totally away and in Michael Eden they have one of the greatest vocalists we have heard for a long time. We are sure that all fans of acts like PINK CREAM 69, old-school BONFIRE or DOKKEN will love this masterpiece!"

Band leader and vocalist Michael Eden comments: "I'd like to thank AFM Records, and their entire team, personally for stepping up and believing in this band when another label failed to deliver as promised. AFM believed in our music when several others refused to see the bigger picture. The world of EDEN'S CURSE is a special one that is not trusted to just anyone. AFM has some of the most dedicated professionals working at their label. They have signed some amazing talents, and now we are part of their team. We are extremely proud to call AFM our home for the European market and we look forward to a long and rewarding relationship for many years to come. Rock it to the top!!"

Chief songsmith Paul Logue adds: "It's fills me with immense pride to see our names nesting alongside some of my favourite bands like MASTERPLAN, SILENT FORCE and EVIDENCE ONE. This is probably the finest and fastest growing melodic rock/metal label in Europe and I'm delighted that they are sharing in the vision that Mike and I have cemented since day one. I'm strapping myself in for the ride!"

Produced and mixed by Dennis Ward (PINK CREAM 69),the group's self-titled album contains 14 tracks of hard-hitting guitars, soaring vocals and delicious melodies that fans of melodic rock and melodic metal will lap up. It also features David Readman (PINK CREAM 69),Doogie White (CORNERSTONE, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, ex-RAINBOW) and Carsten Lizard Schulz (EVIDENCE ONE) on backing vocals.

"Eden's Curse" will be released in Japan through Spiritual Beast/Universal Music, in North America through Metal Mayhem Music, and Latin America through Dynamo Records on August 22. The European release is scheduled for August 24.
